Peter Nordberg, Chief Executive Officer - Mr. Nordberg has over two decades of sales, operations and executive management experience in the high technology field predominately in enterprise software, SOA, SAAS, Open Source, J2EE, Virtualization and networking. Prior to MAX, Mr. Nordberg was the Managing Director of privately held NorthRock Partners an enterprise software and technology consultancy. Mr. Nordberg was also a member of the Board of Directors of Propero Ltd. a venture backed (3i) virtualization technology company headquartered in London. Mr. Nordberg has also provided assistance to various venture firms performing due diligence for evaluation of investment or providing strategy or execution assistance to VC funded portfolio companies. Prior to NorthRock, Mr. Nordberg was President and CEO of venture backed CrossCommerce, which provided a "sell side" SAAS based application suite to fortune 1000 manufacturers. Prior to CrossCommerce, Mr. Nordberg was President of WebLogic; a Java based start-up based in San Francisco where he grew the organization from 12 to 120 in 13 months while closing the first 200 customers and closing two rounds of funding. WebLogic was acquired by BEA Systems for $198M and still dominates the Application Server market. Mr. Nordberg has also been a speaker at industry related events such as Venture One, Enterprise Outlook, Java One and various Java User Groups throughout North America. Mr. Nordberg has also held executive sales and management positions with Computer Associates (Divisional Vice President), Ingres/The ASK Group (Vice President of North America, and AT&T (Regional Manager). Mr. Nordberg to-date has assisted or led fund raising of over $45M in private and institutional funding.
Karl Augat, Vice President of Sales - Karl is an experienced sales and technology veteran who brings to Max 20 years of Technology sales and software sales management, both in the U.S. and in international markets. Prior to joining Max, Karl ran sales for iCentris, Inc., a global provider of enterprise software targeting the Direct Selling Industry. At iCentris, Karl and team doubled revenues year after year, increasing sales by 600% over a 4-year period. Prior to iCentris, Karl served as a Practice Director for Entology, a professional services organization focused on Fortune 100 companies with an emphasis on Pharmaceutical companies. Karl's previous company experiences include: Zareus, CrossCommerce, UBS, UniSql (NTT Data), and Weblogic (BEA). Karl also served as CIO for a local municipality in Utah, implementing the Nation's largest wireless police network using AT&T's CDPD network, becoming a National Spokesperson for AT&T. Included in Karl's career accomplishments, is a performance track record of exceeding sales objectives, raising capital, driving strategic partnerships, and regular speaking engagements.
Jeff Hanson, Chief Technical Officer - Jeff Hanson has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, including working as chief architect for eReinsure.com, Inc. and chief architect for the Zareus SOA platform. Jeff is currently the CTO for Max Software, Inc. building SOA-based and event-driven platforms for Internet-safe products and services. Jeff is the author of numerous articles and books, including .NET versus J2EE Web Services: A Comparison of Approaches, Pro JMX: Java Management Extensions, and Web Services Business Strategies and Architectures.
Steven Scott, Director / Founder - Steven Scott is renowned in the national infomercial market place as the primary source of the direct marketing highly successful products through television media. In 1976, Steve co-founded American Telecast (second only to Guthy-Renker) and is personally responsible for over $2,500,000,000 in revenues. Most recently, Steve is the author and creator of the Total Gym television campaign featuring Chuck Norris and Christy Brinkley. Michael Landon, Jr. Founder - a writer/director/producer and son of the late television legend Michael Landon, and has been in the film business for more than 15 years. After attending the University of Southern California, and the American Film Institute, Landon developed projects for TriStar, NBC, Disney and CBS, to name a few. He most recently co-authored, produced, and directed the highest rated film in the history of the Hallmark Channel entitled "Love Comes Softly".
