The MaxPlay DVD player supports ClearPlay Filtering tools. ClearPlay is another Parental Control option that enables you to play movies with a rating that you might not normally let your children watch because the offensive content is automatically skipped during playback and offensive language is automatically muted. Please note that this feature only works during playback of original DVD movie discs that are included in the ClearPlay Filter library (See Available Movie Titles).
The staff at ClearPlay Inc. develops software Filters for movies. For example, ClearPlay reviews an R-rated movie to find the content that contributed to the R rating. They develop software that marks the violent or explicit content contained in the movie and Filters it out during playback. The MaxPlay DVD player comes with many ClearPlay Filters, but with ON-DEMAND you can always add to the list by subscribing to a MaxPlay account. MaxPlay charges a fee for additional ClearPlay Filters.
MaxPlay is as simple as 1 2 3.
1. Purchase the MaxPlay DVD Player and Subscription Service.
2. Rent or buy your favorite movies on DVD.
3. Movies are edited as you watch
–according to your ClearPlay settings (See Filter Settings).
