An important letter from Chuck Norris to parents.

Dear Parent

There are over 1 Million sexual predators and pedophiles who surf the Internet, looking for children and teens they can sexually seduce, both emotionally and physically. YOU are the key to your family’s protection, and Max Predator Guard is a revolutionary new tool that will enable you to protect your children like never before. This software was developed in conjunction with Federal and State law enforcement agencies, dedicated to protecting children from sexual predators. Here are a few things you must know before you install Predator Guard.

  1. As the parent or administrator, you will have a password that will enable only you to disable Max Predator Guard. It is important that you and your spouse are the only ones who know this password, once selected. You can change it at any time.

  1. When you or your spouse are on the Internet you may want to “disable” or turn off Max Predator Guard so you can surf the internet without any interference from “blocks” that Max Predator Guard would otherwise activate when your children are on the computer. Your Quick Start Guide shows you how to do this on page 11 and it can only be done when you use your password. When you complete your Internet session, be sure to RE-ENABLE Predator Guard.

  1. As you are setting up your settings, you must chose whether you want email alerts when there’s an attempted violation, or a text message sent to your cell phone. This is also covered in your Quick Start Guide on page 8.

  1. Max Predator Guard recognizes terms, phrases and questions used by predators and will instantly end any communication between your children and others when those phrases terms or questions are used. It will take a picture of the screen violation (a screen capture) and send you an email alert or text message. Then, you can view the “screen capture” and ask your child about it. If you discover such dialogue is with someone they have only known over the internet, you can “black list” that person’s screen name to prevent future communication with your child.

  1. Max Predator Guard also enables you to prevent your children from giving out private information over the internet such as their names, your address and phone number, where they go to school and the names of their siblings. Predators use such personal information to discover the identity of the child. Once identified, they can physically stalk your child. Page 7 of the user’s guide will show you how to create your list of private information.

  1. Max Predator Guard will not only prevent Predators from building a rapport with your children, it will prevent your children from communicating in an inappropriate manner with others. If they attempt to use sexually explicit words, it will not allow them to transmit those words to others or post them on websites such as My Space.

  1. Max Predator Guard will record ALL chat and instant messaging when your child uses MSN messenger, AIM/Triton, Yahoo Messenger, the most popular chat and IM services. When they chat on websites (such as My Space) that chat will not be recorded, but it WILL be monitored. In such instances, if your child, or someone they are communicating with, uses inappropriate language or if a predator tries to build a rapport with your child, such violations WILL be recorded in a screen capture, the communication will be terminated, and you will be sent an email alert or text message so you can review the violation.

  1. Max Predator Guard cannot replace your role as the parent; but it WILL alert you to dangerous or inappropriate Internet behavior by your child or anyone they’re communicating with. Then it’s up to you to step in and advise your child and do what you believe is in their best interest.

Each year there are over 16,000 reported abductions by internet predators, resulting in over 100 homicides. The number of rapes committed by Internet predators is likely in the thousands, and is literally incalculable because most go unreported. Nearly one out of every three teens with Internet access has unknowingly interacted with a predator, thinking that person was just another teen.

Although Law Enforcement does everything it can, as the Attorney General of Texas told me, each time they make an arrest, they are only removing one grain of sand off of the beach. The month we spoke, they had made 15 arrests through sting operations. And yet, in a state the size of Texas, there are tens of thousands of these predators, stalking children on the Internet. That’s why YOU are the first and most important line of defense against these deviates. Your use of Max Predator Guard on your home computer will enable you to protect your children at home. I urge you to help us get the word out to all of your relatives, neighbors, and the parents of the friends of your children. Let’s protect every home in our communities.

We at Max are currently working with our retail partners, and local and state governments, to provide Max Predator Guard to every public school in America, free. But we need your help to protect kids at any home which provides them with Internet access. Thank you for your help in this vital mission. Let’s keep these criminals, out of our homes and off of our computers.
