Episode 1
The smallest and largest of Wood Green’s residents are looking to impress new owners. An 8 stone Newfoundland makes a favourable first impression on South Wales’ Coxon family, but staff are worried that his habit of showering everyone with a spray of slobber may take some of the gloss off. And 9-week-old French bulldog Kevin, competes with a nervous terrier to win the hearts of loved-up couple Ryan and Katie.
Episode 2
When his loving owner’s health takes a turn for the worse, a spry Jack Russell may be in luck with a couple searching for a dog to match their young son’s energy. Meanwhile, a fur-averse pair meets two of Wood Green’s hairiest residents, husky siblings Olli and Kalli, and the staff hopes that Staffordshire bull terrier Gloria might be a match for a young woman reeling from a recent breakup.

When a precocious nine-year-old arrives at Wood Green, the staff hope that Patterdale terrier puppy Friday will meet all of his well-researched requirements. Meanwhile, a man with Tourette’s searches for a friend that won’t mind his ticks, and Grant the stray Westie meets a patient couple who could help him turn his luck around.

Rocco hopes that the third time’s the charm as he meets yet another prospective family, while lurcher Sonia longs for a bit of luck as she recovers from a broken leg. Then, a lonely only child meets his dream pup, but staff are worried the boy’s excitement might send breathless pug Gizmo into a panic.

The staff hope they’ve found a match made in heaven when pairing lurcher-mix Poppy with a young priest. Jim the poodle aims to please an anxious child – but will she be willing to put aside her lengthy wish list to give a rescue pup a second chance? Then, an 18-year-old looking to fill the inevitable hole left by her college-bound twin has similar doubts about her match after meeting pedigree beagle Zoe.

When lurcher pup Polo makes a run for it, his date with a loving couple comes to an abrupt end. A retired Olympian visits Wood Green to find a dog she can co-parent with her mom but she’ll have to decide if she’s up for a challenge when staff pair her with Leilo, a Rhodesian ridgeback with long-term medical needs. Then, after struggling to find a match, Zoe the beagle meets a blended family.

A couple looking for a corgi are instead paired with Ellie, a Chihuahua looking for unconditional love. Wood Green staff then match Stanley the anxious Staffordshire bull terrier with a senior couple. Finally, will Zoe the very special beagle finally find her furever home with a yoga instructor and her son?

Then, new rescue Nancy the Staffie proves she’s a force to be reckoned with when it comes to playing fetch, as Tia the ex-breeding spaniel seeks to find a forever home where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement.
