It’s all in the timing for a Main Make that sees the remaining contestants tackle hand-built clocks, craft handles for casserole dishes, and throw double-walled pots. But who will produce the goods and who will come up short?

Episode 3

Things get sticky as the enthusiastic potters are given just 15 minutes to throw as many rice bowls as they can to prove their mastery of Japanese-style ceramic art.

Episode 4

In “garden week,” the contestants brave the great outdoors for a flowerpot throw down. But will they stay afloat in an epic Main Make that has them crafting original pieces with fully functioning water pumps?

Episode 5

To stay in the competition, the potters must throw as many goblets as they can in 15 minutes while remaining as precise as can be, because pieces that don’t measure up to the judges' exacting standards will be tossed into the pit of doom.

Episode 6

To avoid a dreaded double elimination, the potters carve their most impressive patterns onto urns using the centuries-old sgraffito technique.

Episode 7

An exciting semi-final finds beloved UK comedian Johnny Vegas covering for Keith on the wheel. After Johnny demonstrates how to throw a fully functioning teapot in just one minute, the contestants are given five minutes to make five!

After 24 grueling challenges, who will be crowned the winner in the grand finale of The Great Pottery Throw Down?

Episode 1

Twelve of Britain's best home potters arrive in hopes of being crowned champion of The Great Pottery Throw Down. Who will be named potter of the week, and who will be the first to leave? Host Melanie Sykes helps the judges decide.

Episode 2

The remaining contestants' fine motor skills are put to the test in "miniature week," where they'll have to throw and decorate tiny vases and 32-piece chess sets.

Episode 3

After the tenacious potters tackle Raku firing, they receive a masterclass in Nerikomi, a tricky Japanese ceramic technique.

Episode 4

The return of a favorite Throw Down challenge sees Keith throwing wide bowls while blindfolded! Which of the remaining potters will rise to the challenge and be named potter of the week, and who will have to say their goodbyes?

Episode 5

The contestants must overcome the electrifying feat of throwing and altering a pair of identically sized lamp bases before facing an emotional ceramic challenge.

Episode 6

It's "Greek week," and a pair of nude models serve as inspiration for the potters as they attempt Grecian god/goddess statues. Will this Throw Down be a tragedy or a comedy? Only judges Keith and Sue can decide.

Episode 7

In one of the most difficult competitions yet, the potters must hand build enough 3D tiles to surround a fireplace and hearth. Fittingly, for their next challenge, and a spot in the quarter-final, they must also throw a chimney.

Episode 8

The remaining contestants gather around the campfire to produce and decorate two ginger jars before heading back to the studio to tackle the elements in a moving sgraffito technique challenge.

Episode 9

The potters hope to flush away the remaining competition in an ambitious semi-final that sees them producing fully functioning toilets!

Episode 10

The final potters must showcase all of their skills for two of the toughest challenges this competition has ever seen. While talent abounds, only one can be crowned champion of The Great Pottery Throw Down!

Episode 1

Host Siobhán McSweeney welcomes twelve hopeful artists to pottery mecca Stoke-on-Trent, where two challenges await: throwing cheese sets and port chalices. As the clay battle kicks off at the wheel, who will be the first to leave?

Episode 2

The potters' second week is all about bricks and mortar! After the eleven remaining contestants slab-build a 3D structure, judge Rich tasks them with hand-making bricks for the first time.

Episode 3

The ten remaining potters sink their teeth into crafting a bowl full of realistic ceramic fruits before a blindfolded throw down with a twist sends one of them packing.

Episode 4

For "Naked Raku" week, the potters must throw, burnish and fire a pair of vases to impress Rich and Keith. After the floral-themed spot test is judged by a flower expert, who will be named potter of the week, and who will leave for good?

Episode 5

"Music Week" sounds off with a special surprise message from Dolly Parton. After sculpting lifelike busts of musical legends and mini instruments, the remaining potters face the music with another elimination.

Episode 6

As the battle of clay continues, "Terracotta Week" tasks the contestants with making their own range of cookware and engraving tiles before one of their own must go home.

Episode 7

The potters test their green thumbs in "Garden Week," creating animal-inspired water features and throwing strawberry planters. With a spot in the quarterfinal on the line, the pressure is tapped to full blast.

Episode 8

For the quarterfinal, a challenge inspired by Acoma pottery finds the contestants firing their work in cow dung. After an equally tricky second challenge, who will secure that all-important place in the semifinal?

Episode 9

The contestants must wash away the remaining competition with elaborate and fully functional pedestal sinks and decorative chamber pots to secure a place in the grand finale.

Episode 10

The pressure kicks into high gear as the final three potters turn the clock back to the 1920s to face two of their toughest challenges yet. Only one can be named winner of The Great Pottery Throw Down!

Episode 1

Host Ellie Taylor joins returning judges Keith and Rich in welcoming the competition’s newest potters. Then, after throwing children’s crockery sets and ceramic milk bottles, which of the 12 will be crowned the first potter of the week?

Episode 2

The eleven remaining potters hand build pendulum wall clocks and face a surprise blindfold challenge, before Rich and Keith must decide whose time at the pottery has run out.

Episode 3

After the contestants visit their hometowns for an inanimate object challenge, Keith and Rich pay tribute to the pottery hometown of Stoke with a surprise bottle kiln challenge. Then, one of the remaining ten must return home for good

Episode 4

Raku Week, the potters throw Japanese-inspired tea sets, before special guest judge and social media sensation Florian Gadsby sets a handle-pulling spot test challenge that sends one of them packing.

Episode 5

Garden Week finds the eight remaining potters tackling a trio of character gnomes and a seakale forcer for guest judge Adam Keeling of Whichford Pottery. But who will be the Potter of the Week, and who will be heading home?

Episode 6

It’s back to the psychedelic '60s as the potters use a highly decorative glaze for a pair of vessels, before special guest judge Orla Kiely tests their repeating pattern design skills. But only some will groove into the next round.

Episode 7

Wildlife Week proves a roaring good time as the potters hand-build animal table lamps. Then, in a Great Pottery Throw Down first, the contestants are allowed to throw anything they want, before a special someone drops by the pottery.

Episode 8

The remaining five potters create self-sculptures and build their own sawdust kilns before Keith and Rich task them with crafting candlesticks under pressure. But who will light a path to the semis and whose journey will be extinguished?

The Semi-Final

Siobhán McSweeney returns for Bathroom Week, where the final four must flush away nerves to create functional urinals. Then, the remaining contestants must recreate iconic Wedgwood Jasperware but only three will make it to the finale.

The Final

The pressure is on as the final three tackle highly personal garden totem sculptures and a regal devil’s work challenge. Then, joined by Siobhán and Ellie, judges Keith and Rich decide which of the three will be crowned the winner!
