The Magic Tree of Nowhere/Robot Randy
Muriel orders new kitchen curtains and receives free seeds as a bonus, which grow into a magic tree. The tree begins making wishes come true, infuriating Eustace into repeated attempts to cut it down. Courage does his best to protect the tree, building a fortress around it replete with a moat and singing eel. Muriel falls ill with a mysterious sickness, and Courage must find a cure, which ultimately only the tree can provide. Then, Robot Randy, a failure on his own planet, is sent to Earth to conquer it and prove his merit. He lands at the farm and takes over, making the family his slaves, but Randy doesn't really want to conquer any planets, all he wants to do is carve wooden figures. Courage must find a way to help them all.
The Curse of Shirley/Courage in the Big Stinkin' City
Shirley returns to the farmhouse in the guise of a beggar. Muriel and Courage each give her something, but Eustace slams the door in her face. She puts a curse on him that can only be undone if he learns to give of himself. Then, Muriel wins a contest and is invited to play her sitar at Radio City Music Hall. The family comes to NYC and is immediately led astray by a crooked giant cockroach, who takes them hostage until Courage runs a dangerous errand for him. Courage must get the job done and save Muriel in time for her show.
Family Business/1,000 Years of Courage
A confused burglar fleeing the law breaks into the farmhouse and mistakes the family for his own relatives. He decides they should pull a heist together and enlists the family to help him pull his biggest job yet. Then, the family is buried under one thousand years of sediment after a giant meteor bounces off earth spinning it into the future. Courage digs them out, up to the surface, to discover a world of Banana People. The family must find a way to get safely home.
Courage Meets the Mummy/Invisible Muriel
A mummy returns from the dead to seek revenge on the two people who wrongfully entombed him thousands of years ago, two people who bore an uncanny resemblance to Muriel and Eustace. They decide to try past life regression so the truth can be revealed and learn the Mummy was framed. Then, Muriel whips up a batch of her secret recipe dog food for the County Dog Food Contest. Courage discovers a glowing blue stone and gives it to Muriel, which renders her invisible. The stone is top-secret government property, and Muriel is kidnapped in an effort to retrieve the stone. Believing they're after her dog food recipe, she refuses to talk. Courage must find a way to rescue Muriel.
Human Habitrail/Mission to the Sun
A sinister salesman, who is a gerbil, arrives at the farm peddling vacuums. During his pitch, the salesman shrinks Muriel and Eustace and sucks them up into his vacuum. Courage must find a way to rescue them. Then, Courage and the family are selected by NASA to go on a dangerous space mission to save the Sun. While in flight, Muriel becomes infected with an alien bacterium, which tries to sabotage the mission.
Courage the Fly/Katz Kandy
The kid down the block accidentally turns Courage into a fly while experimenting with his new science kit. While buzzing around, he overhears military personnel discussing a secret satellite that is accidentally plunging to earth, headed straight for the farmhouse. Courage must find a way to save them all. Then, Katz returns as an evil confectioner, determined to eliminate his chief competitor for first prize in the Nowhere Sweets Contest, Muriel. He concocts a mutant jam that swallows her up and kidnaps her bringing her to Katz's shop, where he tries to force her to reveal her secret ingredient.
Nowhere TV/Mega Muriel the Magnificent
The biggest lottery in Nowhere history is about to be announced, and the family is anxious to learn if they've won. Their TV breaks, and the repairman arrives in the form of our favorite thief, Le Quack. Then, the Computer decides to take over Muriel's body and show the world what it can do. To Courage's horror, Muriel begins performing death-defying stunts and is featured on the Nowhere News. Courage must find a way to free Muriel from the Computer's clutches and save her.
Bad Hair Day/Forbidden Hat of Gold
Because of her rare blood type, Muriel is kidnapped and taken to a Hair Farm to be used for growing hair. Eustace and Courage track her down at the hair farm only to find it is being run by Eustace's mother. Together they must find a way to rescue her. Then, Eustace sees a TV show about a long-lost golden hat worth millions and takes the family on a wild adventure to find it. After an arduous journey, they finally arrive at the city and Eustace manages to steal the golden mask, angering the monks who guard it. Eustace refuses to return the mask, and the monks demand Muriel as a human sacrifice. Courage must find a way to save her and return the mask.
Serpent of Evil River/The Transplant
The family signs up for a free seafaring vacation but instead of being guests, they end up having to serve as the ship's crew. Led by the single-minded Captain Sharky, they're forced to help him hunt for an evil sea serpent. Then, while digging near the farmhouse, Courage unearths a bone from a giant kangaroo, which Dr. Vindaloo then uses during a back surgery transplant on Eustace. The transplant turns Eustace into a giant kangaroo monster, who grabs Muriel and sets off on a path of destruction around the globe. Courage must become a kangaroo monster himself to try to defeat Eustace kangaroo monster and save Muriel.
Car Broke, Phone Yes/Cowboy Courage
A strange visitor arrives at the farm claiming to have car trouble. Courage discovers the visitor is really a floating alien brain on a mission to collect human qualities. The brain manages to extract the best part of Muriel, her kindness, leaving her just as cruel as Eustace. Together, they make Courage's life miserable forcing him to be their servant. Then, after Muriel reads him a bedtime story about cowboys, Courage dreams of being a brave lawman hired by the town of Nowhere to protect them from an outlaw seeking revenge.
Evil Weevil/McPhearson Phantom
The family nearly runs over a giant weevil with their truck, prompting Muriel to invite the bug to the farmhouse to recover from his injuries. The Weevil turns out to be a highly refined Oxford graduate and the perfect guest, but Eustace begins to look shriveled and is gradually reduced to just his skin. Courage discovers the Weevil has been feeding on Eustace at night while he sleeps! Then, a vengeful ghost harasses Muriel by sabotaging everything she does for Eustace. His laundry makes him break out in a rash, his newly polished shoes explode on his feet and there are lobsters in his bath. Eustace grows increasingly suspicious and suspects Muriel of trying to get rid of him. They stop talking to each other, leaving Courage to act as intermediary.
The House of Discontent/The Sand Whale Strikes
On the eve of the orange Harvest Moon, a ceremony where the crops are offered in exchange for luck, Eustace has nothing to give. The house terrorizes the family. Then, a sand whale arrives at the farm demanding the return of his accordion.
The Tower of Dr. Zalost Part 1/The Tower of Dr. Zalost Part 2
Pink cannonballs fly from a huge tower and rain down on the people of Nowhere, turning them gray and depressed. Behind this scheme is Dr. Zalost, a sinister scientist who is so miserable, he wants everyone else to be miserable too. Muriel is hit and slumps into a deep depression. Courage must find a cure.
Muriel Meets Her Match/Courage vs. Mecha-Courage
Maria and her husband Mano, on the lam from the law, park their trailer next door to the farmhouse. Maria disguises herself as Muriel in order to steal a diamond, and Muriel is arrested. Courage must get the mix-up straightened out so Muriel can be exonerated. Then, Eustace decides to replace Courage with a technologically superior dog. Courage must prove his merit.
Campsite of Terror/Record Deal
While on a family camping trip, Muriel is kidnapped by two raccoons searching for a surrogate mother. Courage must rescue her from the raccoons. Then, the Farmer brings home an old Velvet Vic record. When the record is played, Velvet Vic emerges after many years of being stuck inside the record. Muriel becomes trapped inside the record in his stead, and Courage must find a way to get her out.
Stormy Weather/The Sandman Sleeps
A storm goddess, while searching for her lost dog, sees Courage and wants him instead. Muriel must find a way to prevent her from carrying Courage away. Then, the Sandman is suffering from insomnia and decides to steal Muriel's sleep so he can get some rest. Courage has to find a solution before Muriel collapses from exhaustion.
Hard Drive Courage/The Ride of the Valkyries
Eustace is ill, and when Muriel tries to get a curative recipe off the internet, she gets sucked into the computer. Courage must go after her. Then, while vacationing in Norway, Muriel is mistaken for a Valkyrie and taken off to battle the Trolls. Courage has to rescue her before she goes to war.
Scuba-Scuba Doo/Conway the Contaminationist
While on a scuba-diving holiday, Muriel discovers the Coralites, tiny people living inside the coral reef. Ma arrives on the scene, and her greed threatens the future of the little people. Muriel and Courage must find a way to stop Ma and save the Coralites. Then, Conway, a skinny, sickly looking man, moves in with the family while recuperating from a plane crash. He begins polluting and contaminating their lives, advocating pollution and filth as the healthiest lifestyle. The farmhouse is quarantined, and Courage must find a way to clean up the whole mess.
Katz Under the Sea/Curtain of Cruelty
Muriel signs up to be the cook on the new Nowhere Navy nuclear submarine. Courage discovers that the First Mate (Katz) is a spy, working for a rival submarine manufacturer, with orders to sabotage the submarine. Courage must first battle and defeat Katz before he can save Muriel and the entire crew. Then, a bizarre phenomenon occurs, releasing a luminous curtain that travels across Nowhere. The people of Nowhere become nasty and cruel, the crueler the better. The Farmer flourishes in this environment, and is endorsed as the next mayor. Muriel's natural kindness insults everyone, and she is sent to be rehabilitated. Courage must find a way to return everything back to normal before the Farmer becomes mayor and Muriel's rehabilitation is complete.
Feast of the Bullfrogs/Tulip's Worm
A warlike tribe of bullfrogs takes over the farmhouse, forcing the Family to convert to Frogism, the belief that frogs rule. The family must learn to live like frogs and are put to work building a new lily pond. Courage overhears the Emperor of the bullfrogs planning a celebration feast, replete with marinated human legs! Courage alerts the family, but they do not believe him. Courage must think of a way to save his family from turning into a frog-course meal. Then, Courage befriends a giant worm that swallows Muriel and the Farmer, then disappears into the earth. Courage must fly to a distant planet to find the worm's owner, a giant little girl named Tulip, so he can save his family and get them all back to earth.
So in Louvre Are We Two/Night of the Scarecrow
On their European vacation, Muriel, Eustace and Courage get locked into a French art museum. Mona Lisa and The Thinker come to life and force Muriel and Eustace to take their places. Muriel is stuck in Mona's frame, and Eustace is frozen on The Thinker's pedestal, so Mona and The Thinker are free to pursue their romance. Courage must get them back where they belong or else Muriel will be stuck forever. Then, the family rescues a torn-apart scarecrow and take him home, where Muriel sews him back together. The scarecrow is so grateful to Muriel for saving his life, he appoints himself her personal bodyguard. He quickly grows obsessed with protecting Muriel and locks her in the basement. Courage must find a way to stop the scarecrow and free Muriel.
Mondo Magic/Watch the Birdies
Mondo Magic: A magician (who is really a monster underneath his disguise) arrives at the farmhouse and wows Muriel with his magic. He "poofs" the Farmer into the TV and out of the way, and begins transforming Muriel into a monster, intending to take her as his bride. Courage must find a way to reverse the spell before Muriel's transformation is complete./Watch the Birdies: A giant Mama Bird swoops out of the sky and carries Muriel away to her nest, insisting that Muriel babysit while she goes away on vacation. Muriel agrees to tend to the adorable baby birds. As soon as Mama Bird flies off, the babies reveal themselves to be spoiled rotten. Courage must help Muriel take care of the birds and defend the nest until the Mama Bird returns.
Fishy Business/Angry Nasty People
The family is judged to be uncivilized by a tribunal of fishionaries and are sent off to be re-educated as water-dwellers. They are forced to learn to breathe underwater, swim around and eat fish food. Courage has to find a way to get them back to their life on land. Then, Tarantella returns, desperate for a hit TV series. He offers the family roles in his new show "Angry Nasty People." They agree, and Eustace shines as his nastiness is encouraged. Later, Tarantella explains this is a "special" camera. It's been recording Eustace's true essence -- his meanness -- and has turned it into Mr. Nasty, the embodiment of all Eustace's nastiness. Mr. Nasty becomes the star of the show, and the family becomes miserable. Courage has to do something.
Dome of Doom/Snowman's Revenge
Eustace reads in the newspaper that Mega-Veg Farmaceuticals is paying big bucks for volunteers to test their new farm products, and he signs up. Soon Muriel and Courage are planting chemically-enhanced super seeds under an Astrodome-sized enclosure, but the seeds sprout into a garden of angry predatory vegetables. Courage must find a way to get rid of the deadly plants. Then, the Snowman chooses the western-most spot on the planet, right in the middle of Nowhere, to create the West Pole. The Snowman arrives and takes over the farmhouse, then forces the family to help him spread a blistering winter. To make the North and South poles livable again so the Snowman can go home, Courage must reverse global warming by locating the hole in the ozone and sewing it up.
The Quilt Club/Swindlin' Wind
While shopping for quilting materials, Muriel meets two women who tell her about their quilting club. Muriel excitedly asks if she can join but is told she must prove herself. She becomes obsessed with being admitted. She soon finds out the cost is quite high: she will be sewn into the quilt. Courage must find a way to get her out of the club. Then, Muriel takes a fancy to a trinket Shirley is selling. Eustace swindles Shirley, promising her an oil well deed in exchange for the trinket and giving her an oil bill instead. Angered, Shirley casts a curse on Eustace and Muriel. Back at home, Courage watches in dismay as Muriel and Eustace start swindling each other. Courage must convince Shirley that these two really don't deserve the curse and get her to remove it.
King of Flan/Courage Under the Volcano
Courage falls asleep as an infomercial begins starting with the grinning, fat face of a pitchman hawking pre-packaged flan. In his dream, Courage sees the face saying he has to act before midnight tonight if he wants to save the world. Courage begins seeing the face everywhere. All of Nowhere, including Muriel and Eustace, become suddenly obsessed with a desire for flan. Courage must track down the face and de-hypnotize the people of Nowhere. Then, the family vacations on Hip-Hip Island to see the largest volcano on Earth. Muriel is abducted by an ancient tribe to be offered as a human sacrifice to the volcano god. Courage must go into the volcano, persuade the volcano god not to erupt and save Muriel.
A Beaver's Tale/The Nutcracker
The family awakens one morning and discovers a lake outside their home. When the water rises and begins to flood the farmhouse, Courage reluctantly goes to find the cause. He finds a beaver completing a huge dam on the Nowhere River. Courage must get the beaver to stop building the dam and save his family and home from being flooded out. Then, the family browses in a junkyard and accidentally get locked in. As evening falls, evil rats emerge and begin a macabre dance to music from "The Nutcracker Suite." The rats capture Muriel and Eustace and prepare to cook them for a feast. Courage must save them and himself.
Rumpledkiltskin/Housecalls
Muriel is summoned to Scotland by her uncle to weave the family tartan, as the last surviving family member who knows how to do it. Upon arrival, she learns that her uncle is an imposter. He imprisons her with Courage and forces her to weave thousands of kilts. Courage must find a way to rescue them both. Then, Dr. Gerhardt von Orbison, a brilliant and lonely scientist, wants neighbors and decides to bring them to him. The family is awakened to find the farmhouse "walking" itself to a new location. The farmhouse settles next door to von Orbison's mansion, and Muriel strikes up a friendship with him. Courage is terrified, and it soon becomes apparent that Dr. von Orbison's house doesn't want neighbors -- it wants him all to itself -- and tries to get rid of them.
Le Quack Balloon/Windmill Vandals
Le Quack returns with a new scheme: he replaces Muriel's cookie recipe with one that calls for "rare Swedish vinegar" -- then arrives on the scene to take her to Sweden in a hot air balloon so she can get some. His plan is to use her to steal money from the Piggy Bank of Sweden, and Courage must find a way to save her. Then, the farm's windmill begins to jam, and when Courage tries to fix it, he discovers strange rune symbols carved behind each of the blades. He hears the sound of horses' hooves approaching, and ghosts of saber-wielding vandals ride into view, galloping straight for the farm. They attack the family, chopping off their heads. Courage has to find out who the vandals are, and how to get rid of them.
Uncommon Cold/Farmer Hunter, Farmer Hunted
Muriel gets a terrible cold and starts sneezing uncontrollably. Courage notices that Muriel's sneezes produce a strange cloud in front of her face, and in each cloud is the image of an odd creature crying for help. She sneezes out a cloudy map, which Courage follows to the Bayou with a desperately sneezing Muriel in tow. Courage must find a way to cure Muriel of the cold that threatens to do her in. Then, the start of hunting season is announced, and a prize is offered to whomever blasts the biggest deer. Eustace takes Courage on a hunting trip. Martin Deer, the biggest deer in the county, is playing with his family in a pasture when Eustace starts shooting at him. Fed up with being hunted, Martin decides to turn the tables and hunt Eustace.
Bride of the Swamp Monster/Goat Pain
The truck crashes into a swamp one night, and Muriel loses her new locket. The locket is found by the Swamp Monster, who sees Muriel's picture in it and believes she is his long-lost love. Swamp Monster tracks Muriel down and takes her to the swamp to be his bride. Courage must locate his real long-lost love and save Muriel. Then, Muriel wakes one morning with a terrible backache and is advised by Dr. Vindaloo to travel to a remote mountain hot spring. When the family arrives there, they encounter an extremely aggressive mountain goat. Since Muriel is in so much pain, they refuse to leave. Muriel and Courage are taken prisoner by the goat. It's up to Courage to figure out a way to cure Muriel's backache and save them all.
Muriel Blows Up/Profiles in Courage
A stray military rocket bursts above the farmhouse. It showers the ground with mysterious residue. The next morning, Muriel finds a carrot growing in her garden and eats it. She then grows, eventually becoming as tall as the house. Courage has to get into Muriel's stomach and defeat the Military Carrot before it's too late. Then at a county fair, a mysterious paper-cutter offers to make full-size cameo silhouettes of Muriel and Eustace. Back at the farmhouse, Muriel mounts the cameos on the wall. Courage sees the silhouettes moving in their picture-frames. The sinister silhouettes escape and steal Muriel and Eustace's souls. Courage must find a way to get the silhouettes to leave so that Muriel and Eustace can return.
The Mask
Kitty, a dog-hating stranger wearing a mask, arrives at the farmhouse. Muriel invites her in as their guest, much to Courage's distress. Kitty tells the family her story, that she's been forced to run away to save herself from being killed by Mad Dog, an evil and vicious gangster who was jealous of her closeness with his girlfriend, Bunny. As a result, Kitty hates all dogs and beats Courage whenever she can. Courage goes in search of her friend Bunny, hoping to find a way to get Kitty to leave.
Squatting Tiger, Hidden Dog/Muted Muriel
The family is taking a tour of the Great Wall of China. Muriel is abducted by tour guide, Di Lung, for the Empress Dowager of China. The only way the Empress can contact the magic silkworm that gives her power is through the bones of a genuine soul ... Muriel. Courage must find a way to rescue Muriel before her bones are extracted. Then, each time Muriel gives her opinion about something or makes a comment, Eustace ignores her. His carelessness hurts Muriel so much she becomes mute. Courage hires Shirley the Medium to cast spell that will make Muriel talk again, but it conjures up giant earth-crawlers. The only thing that will stop them is the sound of Muriel's voice. Courage must save them all by getting Muriel to speak.
Aqua-Farmer/Food of the Dragon
When the family visits an aqua-park, Eustace boasts that he can swim better than the dolphin in the water show and is challenged to a swimming contest but loses. Eustace becomes obsessively determined to win and challenges the dolphin to a re-match, offering Muriel as the prize if he loses. Courage must help him win, or they will lose Muriel. Then, a large dragon arrives at the farmhouse looking for food -- humans. It occupies the house, eats Eustace and sets aside Muriel and Courage for dinner. Courage learns of the dragon's personal anguish over being raised by dragons who fed on humans and could fly, yet it can not fly, nor does it truly enjoy the taste of humans. Courage cuts a deal with the dragon: he'll find out why in exchange for his family's freedom.
Last of the Star Makers/Son of the Chicken From Outer Space
Out in space, two beings, a husband and his pregnant wife, scatter stars in the blackness. They are star makers and are the last beings of their kind. When a predator attacks them, the husband tells his wife to go to Earth to give birth. His wife escapes, landing beside the farmhouse, where she digs a hole deep in the ground and lays her eggs. Then, the three-headed son of the Chicken from Outer Space returns to Earth, at his mother's bidding, to avenge his father and destroy Courage. He captures Muriel and subjects her to horrible things. Courage must defeat the son and rescue Muriel.
Ball of Revenge/Courageous Cure
Eustace is in an exceptionally bitter mood, taking note of all the attention Muriel gives to Courage. The last straw breaks when Muriel gives Courage a colorful new blanket that Eustace assumed she was knitting for him. He decides to get rid of Courage once and for all. Then, alien naturalists descend upon the farmhouse in their spacecraft and suck up the family as specimens of Earth life and begin to study them. They are desperate to discover if their own perishing species could be genetically hybridized with humans, in hope of finding a serum that will save their race from a destructive virus. Courage must find a cure for the virus so he can save himself and his family.
Cabaret Courage/Wrath of Librarian
The family is sightseeing in Hollywood, California, when a manhole opens beneath their feet. Then, while digging up treasures he'd buried in the yard, Courage finds a library book that is two years overdue.
Remembrance of Courage Past/Perfect
Courage sees a missing dog ad on the side of a milk container, which causes him to have flashbacks of himself as a puppy going to the veterinarian where his parents were kidnapped, and Courage failed to rescue them. The flashbacks cause Courage to get depressed, so Muriel takes him to Doctor Teenytodd, a veterinarian who turns out to be the kidnapper. Then, Eustace gets fed up with Courage's incompetence and begins looking for a professional to make Courage better. The Perfectionist appears, an old Victorian schoolteacher with a large wooden ruler and a commanding tone. The Perfectionist begins showing Courage how to be perfect, but he fails at all the assignments. Courage must find a way to be perfect or get rid of the Perfectionist.
